OMAR Single Malt Whisky hits the US Market

TAIPEI, TAIWAN - Media OutReach - 7 September 2018 - The award-winning OMAR Single Malt Whisky, both Bourbon and Sherry Barrel, has been launched in the US market.

Taiwan Tobacco & Liquor Corporation has received positive response since August from consumers for the spirits made in its Nantou Winery & Distillery, central Taiwan.

The water and sub-tropical weather in the region have given the spirits unique nose and rich flavor of fruit.

Due to the relatively higher temperature than most other whisky-producing areas, the maturation speed is faster during the whisky-making process with higher angel share.

While OMAR aged for three to four years, it could create an excellent taste similar to 12 years Scottish Whiskies . Since 2015, OMAR whiskies have been awarded by various spirits competitions such as, MMA ,ISC, SFWSC, and WWA. In this year's San Francisco World Spirits Competition, it won Double Gold for two items, Gold for two items and Silver for two items.
